The Board is responsible for maintaining the community’s common areas; administering the water augmentation plan; hiring and supervising contractors for common area maintenance; maintaining hazard and liability insurance coverage on the Association’s common areas; developing the HOA’s annual budget; setting the amount of annual assessments; determining the requirement for special assessments; determining covenant violations and ensuring compliance; and foreclosing liens, if required, to ensure payment of assessments. The Board is also responsible for ensuring compliance with architectural controls and design review guidelines as well as other policies and rules necessary to ensuring the smooth operation of the community.
Committee chairs assist the Board with managing HOA responsibilities as directed by the President of the HOA and/or its Board of Directors.
The Neighborhood Watch Program is not a Wissler Ranch committee but a nationwide program, locally overseen by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, “…created in 1972 and developed in response to requests from sheriffs and police chiefs seeking a crime prevention program involving citizens.” The Wissler Ranch Community Outreach Representative is Nadine Awald, wisslerranchwatch@outlook.com.
