Addresses risk on private property through education on mitigation best practices and recognition for mitigation work done by homeowners and communities
Being recognized as a Firewise USA site means that a community is being acknowledged and celebrated by the US Forest Service, NFPA, and other state and local partners for demonstrating that they community understands the unique wildfire risk it faces.
And it’s a way to honor the work they’ve done to reduce that risk and to motivate their community for continued engagement and impact.
